Accessibility Statement for Resident Portal

Waverley Borough Council is committed to making its websites accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This accessibility statement applies to the resident portal provided at https://wav-wrp.whitespacews.com/

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reason(s):

·       Screen readers may not be able to accurately report the number of items on several pages as construction of the pages does not comply with WCAG 2.0 AA 1.3.1: Info and Relationships.

·       When reporting a missed collection, the comments field does not provide an explicit text label and so the field may not be accurately described by some screen readers. This does not comply with WCAG 2.0 AA 1.3.1: Info and Relationships.

We are also aware that some automated test tools find false positive results and which are because of limitation test tools.

The non-accessible items above will be addressed in the next release of the portal, planned for mid 2026.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 24 February 2025. It was last reviewed on 17 December 2025.

The website was last tested in December 2025.

The test was carried out by Whitespace Work Software Ltd and included all pages and all content using manual testing and a variety of test tools including SiteImprove and Silktide and using accessibility tools such as NVDA screen reader.
