Resident Portal Website Accessibility Statement

Using this website

This website is provided by the Council and this statement covers the Resident Portal website. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

·         change colours, contrast levels and fonts;

·         zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen;

·         navigate the website using just a keyboard;

·         navigate the website using speech recognition software; and

·         listen to the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver).

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

              error messages due to non-completion of mandatory fields are not narrated.

·         when using a screen reader with the Chrome browser the keyboard navigation of drop-down list selectors is impaired by the narration tool, failing 2.4.11.

·         when using a screen reader with the Chrome browser and some mobile device browsers:

              the calendar date look-ups do not narrate.

              user is not informed by the narration of search results.

·         missed Bin list items fail 1.3.1. Screen readers may not be able to report the number of list items, failing 4.1.2.
